Ready to write an email sequence that people will actually read?
Get a process for using your stories to sell more in your emails and never struggle for inspiration again
From just £99
Have you sat at a blank screen hoping for inspiration longer than you waited at the baggage pickup for your suitcase well after the carousel had stopped?
Have you been putting off writing that email sequence you know will be good for your business. You’d rather go down a YouTube rabbit hole that started with “How to turn off hyphenation in InDesign” and ended with a video about model trains in rural France? (true story).
Do you write random and irregular emails to people on your list that always arrive in their inbox, unwelcome as Luke Skywalker at a Star Trek convention? Yeah, awkward.
Sit down and let me explain
You know that:
Email remains the best way to bring prospects into your world and convert the curious into clients
It builds relationships and trust over the long term more than any other platform
And it’s also pretty much fun to do when you get it right
But it’s not always easy
Those dickhead voices of doubt will keep burrowing into your brain with their torches and their pitchforks.
They mean well, but they’re pretty annoying and they do you no good.
You’ve said it a million times – “I’m gonna write those emails. This afternoon. I will, I will, I will”
“Pinky promise.”
And then you don’t…
Come again?
“I don’t know what I’m doing,” or “I don’t have time”
“Oh, I have to clean that stain in the carpet that’s been there for six months, but it’s suddenly become super urgent. I’ll start tomorrow”
“People will hate me for cramming up their inbox”
“Nobody wants to buy my stuff” (true story)
“People will think I’m stupid” (again, true story)
“I should’ve started a year ago. There’s no point now”
“The new season of Ted Lasso or Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is out”
Blah, blah, blah (insert where appropriate)
Or maybe you kind of start… get halfway into the first one, and run out of ideas. Like a soufflé you took out of the oven just that bit too soon.
So you give up
Thing is, the longer you leave it, the harder it gets and the bigger the overwhelm.
You need help, a friendly arm around the shoulder (in a totally appropriate and metaphorical way) and the support of the group to get you out of the funk and onto the main track so you can ace your storytelling email game and start using it to grow your business.
This is for you.
Storify Your Emails: a 4-week workshop where you can write and get expert help with the email sequence you’ve been waiting to write and infuse it with your best stories and your unique character.
No need to read a pile of books on copywriting? Nope.
No need to hire a (possibly costly) copywriter? Nope.
You don’t even need to burn the midnight oil trying to get the thing finished before your launch.
I’m inviting you to spend four weeks in a workshop with a group of determined entrepreneurs and copywriters and me, writing that email sequence and selling your first product.
Make your content more engaging and memorable
Build rapport and trust with customers
Set yourself apart from the competition
Make meaningful connections through shared experiences
We’ll be meeting and working together on Zoom and there’ll be regular access to a group in Slack. A small group, yes, but big enough to get the work done. I’ll make sure of it.
So, whaddya say?
You. Me and a group of other people to bounce ideas off. Your welcome sequence at the end of it with a couple of sales possibly. Just for good measure.
All done by the beginning of April.
But wait. An email sequence with stories? But I don’t know much about emails or storytelling.
Worry not, grasshopper.
Help is at hand, we’ll cover all that on the calls.
Starting April 9th at 9 am ET 2 pm GMT we’ll be getting into it.
Here’s the program:
Week 1: What you need to write emails with impact
Introduction to story-driven email marketing and why storytelling is crucial for email engagement with some examples
Brainstorm to uncover personal experiences
The email storytelling framework
Week 2: Engaging Email Narratives
Analyze storytelling elements in successful email sequences
Understand emotional triggers that resonate with readers
Techniques for maintaining reader engagement throughout the email
Week 3: Different Stages of Email Stories
What are the stages of the customer journey?
Stories that educate and nurture leads effectively
Stories that highlight success stories and social proof
Week 4: Editing and Reviewing for Email Success
Reviewing and editing email content for clarity and impact
Make sure the sequence makes sense
Celebrate all our successes
We’ll get together for four group calls + one celebration party (got to congratulate yourself)..
With Slack access in between. The group will be there for the entire month of April and stay open until the end of May, so you’ll be able to chat away with your new colleagues and friends right through the night if it so pleases you.
AND A FREE BONUS: My guide to telling YOUR story even if you don't know where to start.
YOU WILL
Come out of this with a REAL email sequence you can publish right away.
YOU WILL NOT
End up with a half-written, half-arsed bore fest that you wouldn’t impose on anyone. The hive mind will see to that.
YOU WILL
Get absolute clarity on the ideas and the stories that matter to you.
YOU WILL NOT
Be told what to write. There is no real right or wrong here.
YOU WILL
Feel like you have a group of people and an old boomer of a writer to help you get to the essence of what you are as a business owner.
YOU WILL NOT
A classroom with pass and fail grades. In fact, don’t get me started on the notion of pass and fail.
YOU WILL
Tick off one of those things you’ve been putting off for ages and learn a skill that will serve you for a long time in the process.
YOU WILL NOT
Face that blank screen ever again thinking, “what the hell am I going to write” with all the feelings of unworthiness that come with it.
YOU WILL
Come out blinking in the sunlight with a new confidence and perhaps a few sales you wouldn’t have had otherwise and, added bonus, cover the cost of the workshop!
YOU WILL NOT
Be bombarded with worksheets and lessons that will leave you overwhelmed and full of regret you always feel when you fail to make it through a course or program you felt so optimistic about when you signed up.
And now for what you scrolled down to see (drum roll and red text for greater effect)
You did, didn’t you? We all do.
It all takes place between April 9th and April 30th 2024

Group call 2: Tuesday April 16th — 9 - 10:30 ET/2 - 3.30 pm GMT

Optional wrap up call + celebration party (drinks optional): Tuesday May 7th — 9 -11 am ET/9 - 10:30 ET/2 - 3.30 pm
The group calls will be part teaching, part Q+A, part implementation + goal-setting for the week. There will be homework, and you can volunteer, or I’ll pick on someone to showcase their work.
You can choose to be on camera or off, whatever suits you. And all the calls will be recorded, so don’t worry if you can’t make them all live (although I do encourage you to be at as many as you can because you’ll get to ask questions and receive answers in real-time).
Who are you to be saying this, anyway?
I’ve been a translator and a copywriter for more than twenty-five years. And I’m going to tell you a secret - this hasn’t always been easy. In fact, for many years, writing for me was torture. Like many copywriters, I could write for others with my eyes closed, but for me? A nightmare.
Then a series of life changing events in 2020 and working with a writing coach made me realize I had a story to tell and I should tell it.
Oh my, the revelation!
I started writing. So much so that I wrote 60,000 words in a book because I realized that stories like yours and mine matter and we have to tell them.
Not just in books, in emails too.
And teaching
